I would like to share my crafting story.
I used to craft quite a bit, but quit a few years ago. Then, an acquaintance suggested I check out Pinterest.
I was instantly addicted. I found a new craft (quilling), that I had not heard of previously and bought all the supplies to get started.
Over the last few years I have messed around with it a bit, but nothing serious. I would get everything out, play for 5 to 10 minutes, and then put it away.
I live alone and couldn't find anyone else interested in crafting with me.
A few weeks ago I found out my dog, an ESA, needs a very expensive surgery. In trying to figure out how to get the money, I thought I would buckle down and add some crafting items to my gofundme.
Something unexpected and wonderful has happened. I am now excited to do quilling along with some other crafts. Real excitement, a sense of purpose, and a happiness and confidence I haven't felt in a long time.
I decided I am going to continue after Max's surgery and even open a page of my own.
It sounds so silly but crafting gives me hope!
Soon I will be posting tips and sharing instead of making you read stuff like this. It really has changed my life.
Thank you for letting me share.
